Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to adapt the motivation scale for learning strategies with collaborative play into Turkish and to conduct a study of validity and reliability for it. A scale adaptation study has been designed by the using the survey model in the research in line with this purpose. The study uses a scale developed by Manzano-León et al (2021), which translates into Turkish as the "Motivation Scale for Learning Strategies with Collaborative Play". The scale consists of four sub-dimensions: "task motivation", "learning",” “teamwork” and "flow". The scale, whose original form consisted of 16 items and was prepared in a likert type of five, was applied in Spain. Necessary work and use permits have been obtained to adapt the scale in other languages and cultures. To ensure that the original meaning of the scale matched with the Turkish expressions, the re-translation method was used. Purposeful sampling method has been used in order to determine the study group of the research. A total of 1100 volunteers participated in the study conducted in Turkey, including 788 middle and high school students (age average: 14.04±2.26) and 312 university students (age average: 21.97±3.56). Data were evaluated separately for both groups. (1.middle school-high school students, 2.college students). As a result of the analysis, a measurement tool consisting of 15 items and four sub-dimensions was obtained. According to the compliance index values obtained as a result of DFA, it was also observed that the scale revealed a well-accommodating structure in both groups. When the Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficients of the scale were examined, it was revealed that all values were above 0.70 The results show that the Turkish form of the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool for both groups.

Öz

Bu araştırmada İşbirliğine Dayalı Oyunla Öğrenme Stratejileri İçin Motivasyon Ölçeği’nin Türkçe’ye uyarlanması, geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik çalışmasının yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılarak, ölçek uyarlama çalışması tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmada Manzano-León vd. (2021) tarafından geliştirilen ve Türkçe’ye “İşbirliğine Dayalı Oyunla Öğrenme Stratejiler İçin Motivasyon Ölçeği” olarak çevirilen ölçek kullanılmıştır. Ölçek “Görev Motivasyonu” , “Öğrenme” , “Takım Çalışması” ve “Akış” olmak üzere dört alt boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Orijinal formu 16 madde beşli likert tipinde hazırlanmış ölçek; İspanya’da uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin diğer dil ve kültürlerde uyarlanması için gerekli çalışma ve kullanma izinleri alınmıştır. Ölçeğin orijinal anlamı ile Türkçe ifadelerinin aynı olmasını sağlamak için çeviri tekrar çeviri yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu belirlemek için ise amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Katılımcı grubunu, 788 ortaokul ve lise (¯Xyaş=14.04±2.26), 312 üniversite öğrencisi (¯Xyaş=21.97±3.56 ) olmak üzere toplam 1100 gönüllü oluşturmuştur. Veriler iki grup (1. ortaokul-lise öğrencileri, 2. üniversite öğrencileri) için ayrı ayrı değerlendirilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda 15 madde ve dört alt boyuttan oluşan yapı doğrulanmıştır. DFA sonucunda elde edilen uyum indeks değerlerine göre ölçeğin her iki grupta iyi derecede uyum sağlayan bir yapı ortaya koyduğu gözlenmiştir. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alpha iç tutarlılık katsayıları incelendiğinde ise tüm değerlerin 0.70’in üzerinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar ölçeğin Türkçe formunun her iki grupta geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu göstermektedir.
