Abstract

Teknolojinin hızla değişimi, günlük hayatımızda pek çok alanı etkiler hale gelmiştir. Bu alanlardan biri de eğitimdir. Bu bağlamda teknolojinin eğitim içerisindeki önemi de sürekli artmaktadır. Teknolojiyi kullanan bireylerin yetiştirilmesi ve öğretmenlerin öğretimde teknolojiden faydalanması, teknoloji-ders entegrasyonunu sunabilecek yeterliliklere sahip olmasıyla mümkündür. Bu yeterlilikler ise teknolojik pedagojik alan bilgisinin öğretmen adaylarına kazandırılmasıyla sağlanabilir. Çalışmada, ilk okuma yazma öğretiminde teknoloji kullanımı ile ilgili eğitimin, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının teknoloji kullanım düzeylerine katkısını incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, durum çalışması olarak desenlenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Kars’ta bir devlet üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 11 sınıf öğretmenliği dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubu oluşturulurken amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Belirlenen ölçüt ise, sınıf öğretmenliği lisans programında yer alan ilk okuma ve yazma öğretimi, öğretim teknolojileri ile öğretim ilke ve yöntemleri dersinin alınmış olmasıdır. Bununla birlikte ilk okuma yazma dersinden aldıkları puanların benzer olması da bir ölçüt olarak kabul edilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, video kayıtları kullanılmıştır. Nitel verilerin analizinde, betimsel analizden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, sınıf öğretmeni adayları teknoloji kullanım düzeyleri bağlamında değerlendirilmiş ve mikro öğretim kapsamında verilen eğitimin, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının teknoloji kullanım düzeylerine olumlu katkısı olduğu ve öğretmen adaylarının teknoloji kullanım düzeylerinin artış gösterdiği gözlemlenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarına bu konuda daha çok destek verebilecek nitelikte olan derslerin sınıf eğitimi lisans programına eklenmesinin öğretmen adaylarına mesleki olarak katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Öğretmenlere yönelik olarak ise, hizmet içi eğitimlerle teknoloji kullanımı konusunda destek verilmesi yine bir öneri olarak sunulabilir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre konu ile ilgili yapılacak çalışmalara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract

The rapid change in technology has affected many areas in our daily lives. One of these is education. So, the importance of technology in education is constantly increasing. Training individuals using technology and teachers’ use of technology in teaching are possible, if they have the qualifications offering technology-lesson integration. These competencies can be achieved by providing pre-service teachers with technological pedagogical content knowledge. In the study, it was aimed to examine the contribution of education on technology use in primary literacy teaching to the technology use levels of primary school teacher candidates. The research was designed as a case study. The study group of the research consists of 11 seniors studying classroom teaching at a state university in Kars. While forming the study group, criterion sampling method, one of the purposive sampling methods, was used. The criterion is that the first literacy teaching, instructional technologies and teaching principles and methods courses in the classroom teaching undergraduate program have been taken. However, the similarity of the scores they got from the first literacy course was also accepted as a criterion. Video recordings were used as data collection tool in the research. In the analysis of qualitative data, descriptive analysis was used. According to the findings of the research, primary school teacher candidates were evaluated in the context of their technology use levels and it was observed that the education given within the scope of micro-teaching had a positive contribution to the technology usage levels of the primary school teacher candidates and that the technology usage levels of the pre-service teachers increased. In the light of the results, it is thought that adding the courses that can provide more support to the classroom teacher candidates in this subject to the classroom education undergraduate program will contribute to the prospective teachers professionally. As for teachers, it can be offered as a suggestion to support the use of technology with in-service trainings. According to the results, suggestions were made for the studies to be done on the subject.
