Examination of Articles Related to Educational Technologies

Abstract

The use of technology has increased in many fields and branches of science in daily life in today's societies in the 21st century. The aim of this research is to determine the trends of academic articles published on educational technologies. Examining the articles on educational technologies is important in terms of revealing the general characteristics and problems of the academic publications in this field and making suggestions for future studies. Case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The study group of the research was determined by the criterion sampling method. The criteria are that the articles were completed in the last three years, can be accessed from the Dergipark database, and are in Turkish language and original. For this reason, in the scope of the study, 126 articles published between 2018-2020 were examined in terms of various variables. In this research, the data were obtained by document review. Descriptive analysis was being used in the analysis of the data to were obtained within the scope of the research. In the articles examined according to the results of the research, technology and teacher-student relationship came to the fore as subject, mostly qualitative research method, case study, easily accessible sampling method and content analysis were used. Related articles have mostly two authors and their number has increased gradually over the years.
