Abstract

Özet: Bu araştırma risk altındaki öğrencilerin durumlarını ortaya çıkarmaya dönük betimsel bir çalışmadır. Bu çalışmada risk altındaki öğrencilerin durumlarına yönelik var olan profilin belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışma nitel araştırma olup ve betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada risk altındaki öğrenciler beş tema altında incelenmiştir. Bunlar; kişisel bilgiler ve aile durumu, öğrenim yaşamı, anne - baba - çocuk ilişkisi, serbest zamanlarını değerlendirme biçimi ve öğrencilerin yaşadığı ciddi sorunlar temalarıdır. Araştırmada risk altında bulunan 10 kız, 10 erkek 20 öğrenciyle yüz yüze görüşme yapılmıştır. Görüşmeler yarı yapılandırılmış sorulardan oluşan görüşme formu çerçevesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşme yoluyla toplanan veri içerik analiziyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre ailelerin çocuklarını okulda kontrol etmelerinin ve desteklerinin yetersiz olduğu söylenebilir. Öğrencilerin başarı durumuyla ilgili sorun olduğu, okulda arkadaş, öğretmen ve idare ile sorun yaşadıkları görülmektedir. Öğrencilerin yarısının gün içinde en çok bilgisayar ve telefonla vakit geçirdikleri, önemli bir kısmının iki üç saatten fazla internet ve telefonla ilgilendiği görülmektedir. Abstract This research is a descriptive study to reveal the situation of high school students at risk. In this research ıt is aimed to determine the profile of high school students at risk. This study is qualitative and descriptive research. In the students who are at risk were examined five themes. These themes are, personnel information and family situation, education life, the relationship of student - mother - father, free time spend, students’ serious problems. In the research, face to face interviews were made with 20 students (10 girls and 10 boys). In the interview proses open ended questions were used. The data were analyzed with content analysis. According to research findings, it can be said that supports and control of the parents to their children at school are insufficient. It is found that these students are not so successful at school and having problems with their friends, teachers and school administration. Students said the activity as walking around and having fun with their friends. A significant part of the students use telephone and internet more than 2-3 hours of a day.
