Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, erkek ve bayan öğretmen adaylarının çoktan seçmeli ve yazılı sınavlarda harcadıkları süre ile birlikte puanlanması belirlemektir. Bu Programı Pamukkale Üniversitesi, Eğitim Fakültesi'ne bağlı Sınıf Öğretmenliği ve Fen Bilimi Öğretmenliği ana bilim dallarında, 2007 - 2008 öğretim üyesi güz dönemi öğrenim gören toplam 154 adayı araştırmaya katlanmak. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, çoktan seçmeli ve yazılı sınavlarda harcanan süreler ile birikim puanları, cinsiyet değişkeni. Kız öğretmen çoktan seçmeli sınavlarda sertcanan süre ile birlikte puanlar arasında anlamlı bir ilişki elde edilemez, erkek öğretmen adayları için yazılı sınavlarda harcanan süre ile yapılmış puanlar arasında anlamlı bir ilişki. Sonuçlara göre gelecek araştırmalar için bazı öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between test-completion speed and test
performance by gender. The data were obtained from 154 undergraduate level students from the Pamukkale
University, Faculty of Education during the autumn semester of 2007 – 2008 academic year. Results yielded
positive relationships between test completion speed and test performance on the multiple-choice type exam for
female pre-service teachers and essay type tests for male pre-service teachers. The results suggest that testcompletion
speeds on untimed tests are related to test performance for multiple – choice type exam for female preservice
teachers and essay type exams for male pre-service teachers. The implications of these results and
suggestions for future researches are discussed.
