The short name of the journal is BSEU-FHSJ (Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Faculty of Health Sciences Journal).

• BSEU-FHSJ is published electronically three times a year: January, May and September. In addition to these issues, Special Issues can be published.

• Studies submitted to the journal for evaluation should not have been published anywhere before, accepted for publication and sent to another journal for publication.

• On the first page and in the method section of the study, a statement that the Research and Publication Ethics is complied with must be included.

• Before submitting an article to our journal, the similarity status of the article should be indicated with the appropriate plagiarism software programs (iThenticate, Turnitin, etc.). The similarity rate should be below 20% in the overall study and less than 5% from a single source. The studies that are above these determined rates are returned to the author(s).

• The entire article process is carried out through the DergiPark online journal system, which you will log in with your username and password.

• With the articles submitted to the journal for publication, contact information such as the name and surname, title, institution and e-mail address of the authors should be entered into the online system.

• Articles submitted in accordance with the writing rules are first examined by the secretariat of the journal. At this stage, the Secretariat will check whether the work uploaded to the system is prepared in accordance with the journal writing rules / sample article template and whether there is a similarity report and other necessary files. Studies that do not comply with the template or spelling rules, that contain incomplete files and that do not meet the criteria for similarity rate will be rejected without evaluation. The studies approved by the journal secretariat are forwarded to the editor-in-chief.

• The editor-in-chief will reject articles that are outside the purpose and scope of the journal, have no original value, are scientifically weak and do not follow ethical principles, are problematic in terms of language and are outside one of the publication languages. The studies approved by the editor-in-chief are forwarded to the previously determined field editors according to their fields.

• Field editors recommend the studies they think will contribute to the field to scientific peers according to their fields of study and ensure that the studies are sent to the peers.

• The studies submitted to the journal are evaluated by at least two peers with scientific competence. Blind peer-reviewing is implemented in the journal. Peer and author identities are kept confidential on both sides and they are not shared with authors, referees and third parties. If one of the peers expresses a negative opinion and the other has a positive opinion, the article is sent to the third peer. In order for the article to be published, two peers must give a positive opinion.

• In the studies where major correction is requested, even if the peers do not want to review it again, the studies are sent to the peer who requests the relevant correction again after the studies are corrected by the author.

• The peer-reviewing process of the articles takes an average of 6 to 8 weeks. This period may take longer, depending on factors such as high number of applications.

• The language of the articles submitted to the journal can be Turkish or English. Articles should contain Turkish and English abstract (Abstract, 100-150 words), Extended Abstract and at least three keywords.

• When the study is submitted to the journal, an English abstract consisting of at least 500 and at most 750 words should be added under the extended/structured abstract title after the abstract section. At least 3 and at most 5 keywords should be written under the extended abstract. 

• Studies should be prepared in length, preferably including 4000 to 10000 words.

• DOI number is assigned to the articles deemed appropriate to be published in the journal.

• Only one article of an author can be published in the same year.

• When applying, the Applicant Information File and the Copyright Agreement Form, which are filled out completely by the responsible author, should be uploaded to the DergiPark system. All publication rights of the articles accepted for publication in the journal and published in written and electronic environment belong to BSEU-FHSJ. In addition, the Ethics Committee Authorization Certificate should be uploaded to the system in studies requiring ethics committee permission.

• No royalties will be paid to the authors of the articles published in the journal.

• When applying, the article file prepared using the article template and containing the author information will be uploaded to the system. The files will be uploaded in Word (.doc or .docx) format. Uploads that are not made in accordance with the journal rules will not included in the evaluation process.

• Authors must provide information about "researchers' contribution rate statement" and "author conflict statement" at the end of the article.

• The opinions in the articles published in the journal are not those of the journal owner or editors. All responsibility belongs to the author of the article.
