After earning his PhD from Michigan State University, Serafettin Gedik had worked for a local school district in Türkiye for one year. Then he started serving as an Assistant Professor of Educational Sciences (in School Administration Program) at Amasya University (AU) where he has also been serving as the Assistant Director of the Graduate School for Social Sciences. His research interests revolve around school leadership as it pertains to the issues of equity, school culture, and community engagement. Some of his recent articles has been published at International Journal of Inclusive Education, Journal of Child and Family Studies, Journal of Multilingual Education Research, School Community Journal, and Professional Development in Education.
