Bio

He was born in Ankara in 1983 and completed his primary, secondary and high school education at Ankara METU College. Following his graduation from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2005, Nasıh Sarp Ergüven started his postgraduate education at Ankara University Social Sciences Institute Public Law Department in 2007 and continued it then as a research assistant in Ankara University Faculty of Law, Department of International Law at the same year. After completing his master's degree in 2008 with his dissertation entitled "Diplomatic Privileges in International Law", he also completed his doctoral studies, which he started at the same place, with his doctoral thesis entitled “Maintaining Maritime Security in International Law” in 2016. During this time, he was involved in academic researches in Germany and the People's Republic of China within the scope of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and Xiamen University Scholarships and continued his studies as a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg (MPIL). He has several published articles and presentations generally about Diplomatic Law, Refugee Law, Law of the Sea, Polar Law and Security Studies. He speaks English.
