I am the Head of Department Early Childhood Education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. I am responsible for the management and development of pre-service teachers in Early Childhood Care and Education and Foundation Phase Education. My research focus is ECD, play-pedagogy, comprehensive sexuality education and lesson study to strengthen teacher development in South Africa
