Abstract
Yeremya peygamber, Babil sürgünü döneminde Yahuda topraklarında yaşamış ve sürgüne şahit olmuştur. Yeremya, peygamberliği süresince Yahve’nin Musa ile yaptığı Sina ahdinden uzaklaşmış olan İsrailoğullarını, ahit şartlarına uymaya çağırmış ve bu isyanlarında devam etmeleri halinde yaklaşan sonu haber vermiştir. Tanah’ta anlatılan İsrailoğullarının tarihi; Yahve’ye isyan, ilahî gazap, yıkım, sürgün ve dönüş üzerine bir döngü halinde tekrarlamaktadır. Yeremya döneminde yaşananlar ile ilgili peygamberin bildirisi de bu sıralamayı takip etmiştir.
Babil sürgününe gidiş sürecini anlatan Yeremya Kitabı’nda, Yahve’nin On Emir’de bildirdiği “Benim önümde başka ilahlarınız olmayacak” emrine itaat etmeyen ve başka milletlerin ilahlarına yönelen halkı bekleyen yıkım ve sürgün anlatılmaktadır. Yeremya, belirli bir zaman süreceğini bildirdiği sürgünden sonra Yahve’nin İsrailoğullarına duyduğu sevgi nedeniyle yeniden onları Kudüs’te toplayacağı müjdesini vermektedir. Bu makalede, Yeremya Kitabı’nın konu başlıkları, teması ve Tanah’ta özellikle bu kitapta yer alan kelimeler üzerinden tahlil edilecektir.

Abstract
Prophet Jeremiah lived in the lands of Judah during the Babylonian exile and witnessed it. Throughout his prophecy, he called upon the Israelites, who had strayed from the covenant made between Yahweh and Moses at Sinai, to adhere to its terms. He warned them of impending consequences if they continued in disobedience. The history of the Israelites, as narrated in the Tanakh, unfolded as a cycle of rebellion against Yahweh, divine wrath, destruction, exile, and return. The statements of the prophets regarding the events during the period of Prophet Jeremiah followed this sequence.
The Book of Jeremiah, focusing on the pathway to the Babylonian exile, narrates the destruction and exile awaiting those who disobey Yahweh’s commandment “Thou shalt have no gods before me” (from the Ten Commandments) and turn to the gods of other nations. Jeremiah delivers the good news that, after a specified period of exile, Yahweh, out of love for the Israelites, will gather them once again in Jerusalem. This article aims to explore the topics, themes, and specific words in the Book of Jeremiah.
