AKILCI DUYGUSAL DAVRANIŞSAL YAKLAŞIMA DAYALI AKADEMİK ERTELEME DAVRANIŞINI ÖNLEME PROGRAMININ ETKİLİLİĞİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, akılcı - duygusal davranışçı yaklaşıma dayalı akademik erteleme davranışını önleme programının, üniversite öğrencilerindeki akademik erteleme, zaman yönetimi ve bilişsel çarpıtmalar üzerindeki etkililiğini değerlendirmektir.

Araştırma, deney ve kontrol gruplu ön – test, son – test ve izleme modeline dayalı deneysel bir çalışmadır. Araştırma grubu, Ankara Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde okumakta olan Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği, Okulöncesi Öğretmenliği, Bilgisayar ve Öğretim Teknolojileri Eğitimi Öğretmenliği, Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi Öğretmenliği ve Zihin Engelliler Öğretmenliği bölümlerinin ikinci ve üçüncü sınıfında öğrenimlerine devam eden öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma grubu, akademik erteleme ölçeği kullanılarak akademik erteleme eğilimi yüksek öğrencilerden oluşturulmuştur. Akademik erteleme eğilimi yüksek olan 134 öğrenci tespit edilmiştir. Bu öğrencilerden çalışmaya katılma konusunda istekli 34 öğrenci deney ve kontrol gruplarına yansız olarak atanmıştır. Verileri toplamak amacıyla, akademik erteleme, bilişsel çarpıtmalar ve zaman yönetimi ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Ölçekler, deney ve kontrol gruplarına ön test olarak verilmiştir. Deney grubuna, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Akılcı Duygusal Davranışçı Yaklaşıma akademik erteleme önleme programı sekiz oturum halinde uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubunda ise herhangi bir işlem yapılmamıştır. Deney grubu uygulamaları bittikten sonra son test ölçümleri, deneysel uygulamaların bitiminden 45 gün sonra ise, izleme ölçümleri alınmıştır.

Uygulanan deneysel işlemin sonucunda elde edilen bulgular “tekrarlı ölçümler için varyans analizi “ yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Uygulanan programın sonucunda, akademik erteleme, bilişsel çarpıtmalar ve zaman yönetimi puanları açısından deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılık gözlenmiştir. Sonuçlar, Akılcı Duygusal Davranışçı Yaklaşım’ın akademik erteleme, bilişsel çarpıtmalar ve zaman yönetimi üzerindeki etkisi ilgili literatür göz önünde bulundurularak yorumlanmıştır.
