In the study, the clinical leadership characteristics of the students were measured by Clinical Leadership Scale which was developed by NHS Leadership Academy (2012) and tested its Turkish validity and raliability by Budak (2016). In this study, the data obtained from 285 nursing students studying in the nursing department of a state university in Southeast Anatolia Region were analyzed and evaluated. As a result of the study, it was concluded that class variable and the satisfaction of the students with their professional education are an important factors in terms of clinical leadership. In this context, in order to increase the clinical leadership characteristics of nurses, it is recommended to increase the courses related to management and leadership in nursing education and to include a course about clinical leadership especially in the last year.
