One of the competencies that teachers must possess to raise qualified individuals in education is the competence of giving feedback. While a mistake is ignored in behavioral theories, only misconceptions are considered in cognitive theories. However, in constructivist theory: it is described as an opportunity for learning and an inevitable part of the learning environment. Within the scope of this study, a questionnaire consisting of 12 open-ended questions was applied to pre-service teachers and teachers (167 people). Thus, the relationship between mistake types and feedback types was examined, as well as how the ability to give feedback varies depending on the stages. The study is descriptive. It is aimed to reveal the current situation. As a result of the study, it was seen that the highest number of feedbacks was given by the 4th-grade teacher students, while the least feedback was given by the 1st-grade teacher students. The feedback of the teachers is less than the feedback of the 4th grade. In this sense, in-service training on feedback could give.
